Elizabeth Krebs started work in 1912 to help children channel their energy from destruction to something positive. By 1914 the Hiawatha Halloween Parade & Frolic was founded and has been celebrated every year since, making it the oldest, continuous Halloween parade & frolic in the US. The town, state, and the entire United States celebrate her efforts in helping children of ALL ages celebrate a safe Halloween.
One thing is for certain: Hiawatha knows how to celebrate Halloween. The Halloween Frolic features trunk-or-treats a downtown trick-or-treating events, an epic Halloween parade, and lots of fun and excitement. Put on a costume and join us... if you dare!
